Participation in the Winter School in China

The center staff member and student Eugene Vlasov (in the center of the photo), as a result of the strict selection among UrFU students, has received a scholarship to participate in the Winter School from a partner university – Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi'an. The Winter School was held from December 29, 2017 to January 11, 2018.

Participation in The 3rd China-Russia Workshop on Dielectric and Ferroelectric Materials

Prof. Vladimir Shur, director of the Ural Center for Shared Use “Modern Nanotechnologies” UrFU and Dr. Andrei Akhmatkhanov, senior researcher visited Wuhan, China on October 12-14, 2017 and took part in the 3rd China-Russia Workshop on Dielectric and Ferroelectric Materials with invited talks. The next Workshop from this series will be held in 2019 in Ekaterinburg under the direction of Prof. Shur.

Participation in the Baltic Conference Series 2017

On October 8-11, 2017, Prof. Vladimir Shur, director of the Ural Center for Shared Use “Modern Nanotechnologies” UrFU participated in the Baltic Conference Series 2017 with the talk "Deposition of picoliter droplets under the action of pyroelectric field produced by lithium tantalate with tailored domain structure". The conference was held in the Baltic Sea on the ferryboat, traveling between Stockholm and Helsinki.
