Cooperation between the UrFU and the leading Chinese Tsinghua University was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
The Tsinghua Institute of Nuclear and New Energy is developing piezoelectric ceramics for various applications. The Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) will support again the cooperation of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the UrFU and the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy of Tsinghua University (Beijing, China). Piezoelectric ceramics, manufactured in China, will be studied for two years by the physicists of the Urals Center for Shared Use "Modern Nanotechnologies" of the Ural Federal University.
"We have a great experience of successful research with our Chinese colleagues and many joint publications. They participate in our annual conferences, and we regularly visit them back. The Fund's support will certainly make cooperation more productive," said Director of UCSU MN, Prof. Vladimir Shur.
The Tsinghua Institute of Nuclear and New Energy is developing piezoelectric ceramics for various applications, and studies conducted on the unique equipment of UCSU MN will not only provide new knowledge, but will also make the technologies for obtaining the material more perfect, Vladimir Shur believes.
