Employee of UCSU MN Dr. Andrei Akhmatkhanov has won the Sverdlovsk Region Governor Prize for young scientists in the nomination "For the best work in the field of experimental physics" for his work "Investigation of general laws of kinetics of domain structure in lithium niobate single, lithium tantalate, and titanyl potassium phosphate crystals".
The Governor's Prize is awarded to young scientists annually in 20 nominations. This year, 109 applications were submitted for the competition. At the end of 2017, 22 people became the prize winners (two works were performed in co-authorship). The size of the award is 200 thousand rubles. Nine young scientists of UrFU have won the award of the governor of Sverdlovsk region. Seven winners (in six nominations) submitted applications from the UrFU and two – from the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The award ceremony took place on February 8, 2018 during the opening of the traditional Demidov readings. Diplomas were awarded to the winners by the Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Region Sergei Perestoronin.
